INISHOWEN AMBASSADORS

In May 2025, we were delighted to welcome 8 new regional ambassadors to Buncrana’s Children’s Charity.

All our ambassadors have well established connections in their local communities which will provide invaluable in helping the charity reach across all of Inishowen to provide support, spread awareness and help to children on the peninsula.

Each ambassador has been carefully chosen for their longstanding commitment to their community, their alignment with the charity’s core values, and their capacity to inspire meaningful change. From local councilors to youth workers, educators and community leaders, this is a team of people who not only understand the needs of their areas, but have long been part of the solution.

Our eight new ambassadors are:

  • Gráinne Mc Cool – Muff/Quigley’s Point

  • Ashling Doherty – Clonmany/Urris

  • Pat Mc Laughlin – Malin/Malin Head/Glengad

  • Caoimhe Gill – Carndonagh & Surrounding Areas

  • Geraldine Mullan – Moville/Greencastle

  • Kathleen Mc Ginley – Fahan/Burnfoot/Burt

  • Cllr Martin Mc Dermott – Glengad/Malin/Malin Head

  • Cllr Paul Canning – Newtown/Bridgend/Burt

Volunteer Panel

As Buncrana’s Children’s Charity continues to grow, we’re inviting people across Inishowen to join our new Volunteer Support Panel.

This is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 a committee role - it’s a flexible group of community members who can help out when it suits them!
