Helping The Children of Inishowen
Buncrana's Children's Charity was founded in 2016 by Adrian Mc Myler.
It was originally set up to help children in the Buncrana area. However there was a huge demand for our services and we were delighted to be able to expand and cater to the whole of Inishowen. Our aim is to help sick and disadvantaged children and their families who are suffering from long term medical illnesses.
"Help Us, Help Them."
We offer three different services for children and their families:
Our main service is Financial support.
This service helps families with expenses from the child being sick - hospital runs, cover work costs from parents needing unpaid leave
Our second service is Hospital bags.
If a child from Inishowen is in hospital you can nominate them to receive a goodie bag to try make them happy in the hospital.
Our third service is a smile for a child wish.
A sick child can make a wish and we will try our best to make it come true. For example, we sent a family to Tayto Park because they were unfortunately forced to cancel their holiday abroad because of the sick child.
We find these three services are extremely beneficial to families and help them alot.
We do not receive any funding from the Government at all. Our finance relies from donations, sponsorship and fundraising.
We are extremely lucky to have a great community which supports their own local charities with extreme generosity and we really appreciate each donation. This will help your own people from your own communities. Thank you for helping us, help them.
